The Ultimate Guide To The Fourth Of July, Miami-Style
Although Miami isn’t a city known for stars and stripes and we boast more colors than just red, white, and blue (our nickname is Northern Cuba after all...), we have to admit: Flag-printed bikinis are simply tops! While BBQs, sparklers, and boxed fireworks from across the state line (the best ones come from Georgia...duh!) are standard fare, make sure you take advantage of the day with some of Miami's most festive spots to find food, fun, and fireworks. For this 263rd year of freedom, we've sussed out nine celebrations that're perfect for however it is you celebrate. Eat, drink, light some things on fire, and be sure to party in the U.S. of A — the Miami way.

PARTY!
Mondrian
We now have one more reason to be in lust with the Mondrian — a 4th of July soirée complete with BBQ by Asia de Cuba (think burgers and hot dogs along with Cuban BBQ chicken...which is, yes, a thing), “Frozen 4th” concoctions, and DJs Jean Mark and Arlette Carlin on the turntables. Oh, and don't forget the stellar view of the fireworks.
When: Noon; $50 minimum consumption fee.
Where: The Mondrian Miami, 1100 West Avenue; 305-514-1500.
One Nation Pool Party at Shore Club
Nothing says Fourth of July in Miami like a pool party. At SoBe's Shore Club, from noon until sundown, enjoy BBQ bites from Terrazza, frozen cocktails, domestic beers (you didn’t think you could get away with a Corona, did you?), and beats by DJ Triarchy and RS^2.
When: Noon to sundown; $20.
Where: Shore Club, 1901 Collins Avenue; 305-695-3226.
Clevelander
About the only thing better than backyard fireworks are beachside fireworks...accompanied by patriotic body painting (is there any other kind?), America-themed trivia contests, beer pong, and an all-day happy hour. We pledge allegiance to Clevelander.
When: 11:00 a.m.
Where: Clevelander, 1020 Ocean Drive; 305-532-4006.
